This machine boasts many outstanding features such as: automatic needle threading, high pressure in each cycle, and absolutely stable seed hopper vibration... At the recent Vietnam Handicraft Village Exhibition held in Lam Dong, visitors were impressed by the booth displaying the winning products of the "Outstanding Industrial-Rural Product 2011" award from Lam Dong province.
These were three products: a new generation seed sowing machine, a 3-in-1 substrate grinder, and a seed pelletizing machine, all created by Le Thanh Tri (No. 495, National Highway 20, Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong). Mr. Nguyen Truc Bong Son, Director of the Lam Dong Agricultural Extension Center, said: “Many inventions by farmers have produced useful products serving agricultural production. Especially at this exhibition, Le Thanh Tri's products have changed perceptions and introduced new methods for farmers, contributing to the mechanization of nurseries. With his multi-functional seed sowing machine, farmers save labor, time, and seed costs.”
Mr. Le Thanh Tri said that he was born and raised in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He had worked in various professions, including studying mechanical engineering, working in compressed air CO2 filtration, aquaculture, establishing a rubber plantation, and construction… However, city life couldn't hold him back.
In 2009, while visiting nurseries in Duc Trong, he saw that the locals mainly produced seedlings manually, from bagging them to sowing seeds and watering them… That night, he tossed and turned, wondering why he couldn't do something to alleviate the hardships of the people. With his mechanical training, his passion for the profession resurfaced, and he began researching and gradually created useful machines.
To date, Mr. Tri has launched 11 products, including: a substrate pressing machine for styrofoam trays, a substrate pressing machine for plastic trays, an automatic seed sowing machine ASM 01, an automatic seed sowing machine ASM 02, a 3-in-1 substrate grinder BLM 01, a variable frequency vibrating screen, an automatic styrofoam tray washing machine AWM01, a CVY conveyor belt, an automatic seed sowing system ASM 03, an automatic seed sowing machine line ASM 01, and a seed pelletizing machine.

This machine has many outstanding features such as: Automatic needle penetration, high pressure in each cycle. Absolutely stable seed trough vibration thanks to the Autovolt DC circuit. Seed positioning funnel centered on the tray holes. Horizontal foam tray increases productivity by 1.7 times. The entire operation is adjustable. Specifically, the machine speed can be adjusted electronically; the throttle can be adjusted for the correct constant pressure level; the vacuum can be adjusted according to seed suction needs; needle penetration pressure can be adjusted; needle suction depth can be adjusted; seed trough vibration cycle can be adjusted; and the speed of the air cylinders can be adjusted.
The advantages of this machine are: After grinding, the fineness meets the requirements for use at 100%, eliminating the need for sieving and saving on sieving equipment; the product after grinding is ejected 5-7 m, allowing for large piles without raking and piling, saving on conveyor belts; The grinder automatically removes hard objects during grinding, such as stones mixed in with the material, preventing damage to the machine; its design allows for independent use or connection to a conveyor belt for higher and longer piles.
Round, uniform seeds are easily processed by seed planters. However, seeds with unusual shapes, such as flat, pointed, hairy, light, small, or clumped seeds, are difficult to sow. Therefore, the pelletizing machine is essential. It's very simple to use; just put the seeds into the machine, start it, and adjust the speed accordingly. After 5 minutes, the seeds are separated, not stuck together, and free of hair; they can then be sown or pelletized.
For seeds that are too small, pelleting is necessary, and the pellets can grow up to five times larger. Seeds can be soaked before pelleting, or water can be sprayed onto dry seeds in the machine. When the seeds reach about 80% moisture, continue to maintain moisture in the machine by spraying with pre-mixed water. Then, add the pre-mixed fine pelleting powder to the machine at a rate of 20-50% of the seed weight each time, adding and spraying repeatedly. The seeds will gradually grow larger and rounder. When the seeds are large enough, stop spraying water, dry them with a fan, then thread them through a seed sieve and feed them directly into the sowing machine.
Through research and establishing a mechanical workshop to manufacture various useful machines with wide applications for agricultural production, Mr. Le Thanh Tri has contributed to bringing scientific and technological advancements closer to farmers, contributing to the mechanization of nurseries, and changing farming methods to improve economic efficiency per unit of cultivated land. In addition, it created jobs for 15 workers with salaries ranging from 3 to 6 million VND per person per month.
