Thanh Tri Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. (Lien Nghia, Duc Trong) is accelerating the production of 300 macadamia nut shelling machines by the end of 2016, supplying them to farmers in Lam Dong province in particular, and farmers in the five Central Highlands provinces in general
The machine is built with relatively compact dimensions: 1.2 m long, 0.5 m wide, 1 m high, and weighing 60 kg; two small rubber wheels are attached to the base for easy movement in tight spaces. Priced at 14 million VND, each machine has an average shelling capacity of 300 kg of macadamia nuts per hour; whereas a worker shelling macadamia nuts using rudimentary mechanical tools can only achieve a maximum of 50 kg per day. The outstanding advantage of the macadamia nut shelling machine manufactured by Thanh Tri Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. is its ability to adjust operating modes according to time and capacity. Importantly, the shelled macadamia nuts retain their original shape, without breaking or chipping.
Furthermore, under contract with a macadamia processing facility in Lam Ha district, Thanh Tri Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. is also completing a closed-loop macadamia processing line including shelling, sorting, drying, and roasting machines, with a total value of 250-300 million VND, achieving a capacity of 600-800 kg of finished nuts per hour.
